MetaClean is designed to help users remove hidden metadata from photos before sharing. The app processes images fully on-device and is built to minimize data exposure.

Data collection

MetaClean does not collect personal data from users. The app does not require account creation, does not use analytics, and does not track user behavior.

Photo processing

Photo cleaning happens locally on your device. Selected images are processed on-device to create cleaned copies with metadata removed. Your original photos remain unchanged.

Network usage

MetaClean does not upload your photos to a server. The app is intended to work fully offline for its main photo cleaning workflow.

Photo Library permission

MetaClean may request permission to save cleaned copies to your photo library. This permission is used only to save images you choose to export back to Photos.

Temporary share files

When you use the share feature, MetaClean may create temporary cleaned image files locally on your device so they can be passed into the iOS share sheet. These files are not uploaded by MetaClean.

Third-party services

MetaClean does not include ads, analytics, or third-party tracking services in its core experience.

Children’s privacy

MetaClean does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults because the app does not collect user data.

Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. If the policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
