Privacy Policy
CleanHref Privacy Policy
CleanHref respects your privacy. CleanHref is designed as a private link-cleaning and URL inspection utility for iPhone and iPad.
Data Collection
CleanHref does not collect personal data in the current version. The app does not require an account and does not send your links, cleaned URLs, or history to a backend server.
Local History
If history is enabled, CleanHref stores cleaned link history locally on your device so you can review previous results. You can disable history or clear saved history inside the app settings.
Clipboard and Share Sheet
CleanHref can read a URL you paste into the app and can copy cleaned results to your clipboard. If you use the iOS share sheet, CleanHref processes the shared link on-device and copies the cleaned result for your use.
URL Cleaning
CleanHref removes known tracking parameters and applies conservative domain-specific rules. Some redirect-wrapper links can be cleaned offline when the destination URL is already embedded in the shared link.
Network Access
CleanHref does not need a server for its core cleaning features. It does not perform background link analysis, remote malware scanning, or automatic short-link expansion in the current version.
Purchases
CleanHref is intended to be sold as a paid app on the App Store. All current features are included with the app download. CleanHref does not offer in-app purchases or subscriptions in the current version and does not receive or store your payment card information.
Analytics, Ads, and Tracking
- No third-party analytics SDKs are included.
- No advertising SDKs are included.
- No cross-app tracking is performed.
Other Apps
CleanHref may include links to other apps from the same developer, such as Securis and MetaClean. Opening those links takes you to the App Store or another external destination controlled by Apple or the selected service.
Limitations
CleanHref is a URL transformation utility. It does not scan links for malware, provide anonymous browsing, guarantee that every tracking method is removed, or block tracking that happens after a website is opened.
Children's Privacy
CleanHref does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
