Your practice.
Your personal space.

Your music journal is stored on your device. Here is what that means—and what happens when you export a file, email us, or visit this website.

Who we are

Melunote is a music practice journal developed by Muradiye Kayaduman. This policy explains how the app, support email, and this website handle information. For privacy questions, contact gokce8535@gmail.com.

Your journal lives on your device

The app stores your pieces and composers, practice focus, target and session tempos, session dates and durations, notes, feeling ratings, progress, an unfinished session, and preferences such as language, appearance, instrument, weekly goal, and reminder time. This information is used on your device to provide the journal, timer, history, and progress views.

Melunote does not send this journal to developer-operated servers. There is no account system, advertising SDK, tracking SDK, or in-app analytics SDK. The app does not record audio or access your microphone, contacts, or location.

Backups and files you choose to share

You can export a CSV of session history or a full JSON backup, and import a selected JSON backup using Apple’s file picker. Your chosen storage or sharing service handles these files under its own policies. Exports can include private notes and are not password-protected by Melunote.

App data may also be included in Apple device or iCloud backups, depending on your device settings. Melunote does not provide automatic journal sync between devices.

Before replacing a journal during a restore, the app keeps a local safety copy of the previous data. That copy can remain until replaced by a later restore or removed when the app’s data is deleted. It is not uploaded to us.

Reminders and Apple services

Daily reminders are optional and require notification permission. They are scheduled locally on your device. You can disable them in Melunote or change permission in device Settings.

If you open an App Store link or use an App Store review feature, Apple handles that interaction under its privacy policy. The same applies to App Store links for our other apps. This policy describes Melunote, not the separate data practices of those apps.

When you contact support

If you email us, we receive your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond to your request and investigate reported problems. Support mail is handled through Gmail; email providers process messages under their own policies. See Google’s privacy policy.

We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to resolve and follow up on the request or meet applicable obligations. You can ask for access, correction, or deletion of support correspondence by emailing us. Avoid sending sensitive information or full journal backups unless needed for your request. We cannot access your local journal remotely.

Your choices, retention, and deletion

Your local journal stays in the app until you change or remove it. You can delete individual pieces and sessions. Deleting a piece does not delete its past sessions. Delete the app, rather than offloading it, to remove its local data, including the restore safety copy.

Exported files, emailed attachments, and device or cloud backups are separate copies. Manage or delete those through the relevant service. You can use a full JSON export to keep or move your journal. We do not sell your journal data or use it for targeted advertising.

This website

This site is prepared for hosting on GitHub Pages. GitHub logs visitors’ IP addresses for security purposes. See GitHub Pages documentation and the GitHub privacy statement.

These pages do not add analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms, or cookies. Fonts and images are served with the website. Clicking an email link opens your email application; it does not send a message automatically. External sites have their own privacy practices.

Children’s information

The app does not ask for a name, age, or account. We do not knowingly request children’s personal information through support. If a child has sent personal information to us and you would like it removed, please contact us.

Changes and contact

If the app’s data practices change, we will update this policy and its date. Questions about this policy or your information can be sent to gokce8535@gmail.com.
